Candace and Jay (Joe's sister and her husband)

I had the pleasure of getting to know Candace quite well the first year Joe and I were dating. She was so open and friendly and we talked online all the time... back when AIM was popular! She realized very early that if she wanted updates on Joe the best information came from me! Candace was finishing her thesis at Northwestern for her degree... and forgive me Candace, but it's a complicated one to remember... her degree has something to do with Mathematics and social sciences... She has since completed her degree and lives in Connecticut where she met her husband Jay! Ah, Jay... he's my fellow out-law! We stick together when the family gets together. I met Jay for the first time at Candace's bridal shower. It instantly occurred to me that he's a wonderful person that makes Candace happy. I spent a lot of time with Jay, kinda hiding from the mayhem, and he made us all breakfast. He needs to make me breakfast more often!! Candace is beautiful, smart, courageous, highly organized, and an amazing mother. Jay is calming, funny, patient, and a great dad! They compliment each other beautifully! They have an amazing son, Alex, who is so much fun right now. I wish that we were all closer... maybe some day we can all be in the same time zone! I need to make more of an effort to see them! I love my brother and sister very much... and yes, Auntie loves her Alex too!!!
Heather and Adam (my sister and her husband)
Adam is my newest sibling, however, I've known him for 13 years!!! We went to high school together and later college too. I first got to know him through forensics (and one of my closest friends was dating him). He was full of energy, loud, and funny! He always made me smile. He gives the greatest hugs and has the best expressions. He graduated the year before me and we lost touch for a while. Then he was dating my sister... this was not good... at first. Heather and Adam had a long distance relationship for several years. I admire their devotion to each other. It didn't take too long before I loved him! He's still full of energy, loud, funny, gives great hugs, competitive, and focused. That man can focus like no other on one task at a time, unless cartoons are on... then nothing else exists!! He brings an energy to our family that is refreshing! I was so proud to stand up and witness their marriage, just one month ago! Adam is a wonderful husband and the brother I never had! I love you both so much and I wish you all would stay in my time zone!!!And last, but certainly not least... Sean (Joe's adopted brother)
Joe's parents are wonderful people who have so much love in their hearts. A little over 4 years ago Mike and Christy began fostering children. Then Sean came into their lives at 6 days old and he hasn't known any different. Sean just celebrated his 3rd birthday this past summer and he's learning so much every day! He's a smart little bugger, some times I wonder if he's too smart for his mommy and daddy! He loves Disney's Cars, trucks, and sports. He loves his big brother and craves his attention. He has endless energy but has a sweet heart. I'm so looking forward to knowing him more and more as he grows up. I'm so excited to be there for him as his big sister. This is my family! I love them all very much and I miss them when they're gone!!! Love you guys!!
xoxo
